Isaiah 53:3-5 (Amplified Bible)
3He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows
and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like
One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we
did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him. 4Surely
He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses)
and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly]
considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as
if with leprosy]. 5But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement
[needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with
the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
Psalm 103 (NKJV)
1Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is
within me, bless His holy name! 2Bless
the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3Who
forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,4Who
redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness
and tender mercies, 5Who
satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth
is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalm 107:20 (New King James
Version)
20He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
Proverbs 4:20-22 (New King
James Version)
20My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my
sayings.
21Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;
22For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.
3 John 1:2 (New King James
Version)
2Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
